Cycle - 5 laps of the Island, approximately 270 miles non stop

The challenge will start on the island of Arran with a non stop 270 mile cycle. The cycle is planned to start near to Brodick at approximately 10am Saturday the 8th July 2011.

Tam Burns will have the exciting challenge of completing the 5 laps of the Island. Even at this early stage he has been given another challenge. The current record holder of the fastest lap of the 55.70 mile circuit, Jim Cusick has already pledged £100 if Tam can complete the 270 miles in under 20 hours (thanks Jim). Jim also won the Dooleys RTT25 (25 Road Time Trial) in just over 53 minuttes.
